Ship Rock Shearling Cloak

This pattern draws on Tsé Bit’a’í — “the rock with wings” — the great monolith rising nearly 1,600 feet from the high-desert plain of the Four Corners. The eroded core of a volcano that stilled some 27 million years ago, it stands alone on the Navajo Nation, its radiating stone dikes trailing across the desert like folded wings.

To the Navajo, the peak is sacred: legend tells of a great winged rock that carried the ancestral people north to this land, settling here at last and turning to stone. The pattern’s sharply etched, banded motifs echo that dramatic silhouette.

Bell shaped hooded cloak with a hood and sleeve lining of Mongolian lambs fur with welt patch pockets and 2 toggle closure.

Napped Pendleton blankets: 82% Wool, 18% Cotton. Wool Cashmere facings and Silk Rayon peach skin lining. Our Mongolian Fur is a shaggy long hair Mongolian sheep shearling.
