In the symbology of the Great Plains, the eight-pointed star is the Morning Star — the planet Venus — which rises just before dawn to lead the way toward light and knowledge. This design draws on the star-quilt tradition that flourished among Plains peoples in the 1800s, among them the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakoda.

Here the star becomes a bold central medallion radiating points of color — a signal of new beginnings, renewal, and hope.

Fully lined slouch jacket with set in sleeves, chest seam pockets, welted waist pockets and CF zipper fastening.

Unnapped Pendleton blankets: 82% Wool, 18% Cotton. Silk Rayon peachskin lining.

We strive to be low impact and most pieces are made to order; please allow 2 to 5 days to ship.

For urgent shipping requests, please add a note to your order and we will do our best to accommodate.

We ship using UPS Ground for domestic orders, and DHL for international shipments.
